We got up at up at 3 o'clock in the morning and drove two hours on winding narrow roads to the Pololu Valley Lookout. To get to the spot where I took this photo, you have to climb down a very steep rugged mountain path. If you go here, make sure you bring a flashlight-headlamp and pack light because the steep trail can be very slippery. Keep an eye out for this spot because you can easily walk past it if you're not paying attention. Next, setup your tripod and camera and wait for the sun to rise. As with most spots, you will get the best results when there are partly cloudy skies. Keep in mind that this is a sunrise spot. This particular morning, the light, color, and clouds changed minute to minute making this an even more successful shoot.
