This is just out of this world! I'm very impressed with the quality, the sharpness, the lighting, the colours, the composition. Well done!

Reminds me of the wayland legend in Norfolk UK (the Babes in the wood). Stunning

Location
I took this at a local park in my hometown. There are some old growth trees there and lots of hollowed out stumps and logs. It is the perfect place for enchanting baby photos.Time
This was taken in the afternoon (around 3 p.m.) on an overcast day.Lighting
I wanted to capture my little ones sleeping, and because they nap in the afternoon, I had to wait for an overcast day to avoid harsh light blowing the highlights in the frame. This particular stump did not offer the option of covered shade, as it was out in the open. Overcast light tends to afford nice rich tones.Equipment
This was shot with my Canon 5D Mark III and my 70-200 2.8. I did not use any other equipment.Inspiration
I have always adored pictures of my babies sleeping and when I saw this hollowed out stump I knew it would be a perfectly magical spot to do sleeping photos. I like to utilize as much of nature as possible, rather than loading up on props, so this location was perfect.Editing
I did some basic adjustments in photoshop working with levels, color balance, and adding contrast to the image with curves. When I was done my adjustments I added a JD leaf overlay to create more interest and depth. In my camera bag
It really depends on what I am shooting. I always have my Canon 5D Mark III. I used my 70-200 for this particular shot and I almost always have that lens in my bag. I usually have a wider angle lens, such as my 24-70 or my 14 mm and I almost always have my 50 1.2 in there for baby photography.Feedback
If you are wanting to shoot in a specific location such as this one, you are working with little ones with unpredictable schedules, and your location it is out in the open, I recommend waiting for a cloudy day to shoot so that you are not blowing your highlights. Golden hour would work well also, provided the sun sets in behind. When I do sleeping photos I like to work on cloudy days because babies often do not sleep when you want them to. Cloudy days afford much more time to work with little ones. If you schedule a shoot for golden hour and you are waiting for a little one to fall asleep, you may miss your window of opportunity for light.
