I took this picture at a local park in Québec, CanadaTime
I don't remeber the time of the day because the picture was taken a while ago but at the time my son was very young so i did not have many occasion to go outside with wildlife. I knew these guys were in town for the last few days so as soon as i had the chance i jumped in the car and went to the park.Lighting
I love winter lightning because I find it much easier to work with at any given time of the day. The sun isn't as strong as it is in the summer.Equipment
I took this picture handheld with a canon rebel T3 coupled with a Sigma 150-500mm.Inspiration
I wanted to take a shot of the bohemian waxwing from a different angle because lots of people photograph them when they are in town. Also, I wanted to show all their colors because they are gorgeous.Editing
I did crop the original picture and gave it a little sharpen. In my camera bag
Nowadays I carry my Canon 7d, my Canon 400mm f5,6 lens and my Canon rebel T3 just in case something happens. I also carry a flash but i don't use it very often. I do use a tripod with a gimbal head.Feedback
Bohemian waxwing are always in groups and they gorge themselves on fruit and it makes them drunk. Wait for them to be tipsy to get closer. There's no need to hurry. Once you can get close the world is yours :)
