Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken at Xcaret Eco park in Mexico

Time

This was taken around 2pm and as it was shot from indoors it helped the colour of the window

Lighting

I was just using the lights from inside the building to get the soft glow

Equipment

I used a Sony NEX-5 with no tripod or flash - what I saw is what you see!

Inspiration

I was intrigued by the light of the window with the steps leading up, they're like steps to heavens door.

Editing

No post editing was required on this shot, it was just perfect

In my camera bag

I have recently upgraded from my NEX-5 to a Fujifilm X-T10 with duel lens kit and a mini gorilla tripod and a manfroto tripod too, I always have 2 spare batteries and a spare memory card too, I'd hate to miss the perfect shot!!

Feedback

Just try to keep it natural, a good uv filter on your lens and look for contrasting colours to make the focus of your shot stand out
