Behind The Lens

Location
Pretty obviously; Brooklyn Bridge in New York
Time
It was aroud 10.00 in the morning. It was the last day I was in NYC and I had no proper photo's of the bridge during sunset the previous day. So I went back in the morning.
Lighting
I Wanted the sun in it, because it was a beautiful atumn day (October 22nd 2015) So I deceided to shoot towards the sun, with the city in the background. If I shoot it the other way aroud, I got my shadow in the picture. Didn't want that.Th
Equipment
This was shot with a Canon 60D and a Tamron 18-270 F3.5-6.3 No tripod, no flash.
Inspiration
I really wanted photo's of this famous bridge. And I saw the lines of the bridge and all the people on the bridge. I waited till only one woman was in my frame
Editing
I shot this in JPEG and not in RAW, it was my holiday, and wanted to take it easy ;) So I only edited in PS, levels, curves and contrast and turned it into a BW
In my camera bag
Normally I use my Canon 6D, with a Canon 85mm F1.2 That is my favourite combination. I also use a Canon 70-200 F4, Canon 50mm F1.6 I also have a Sigma 105 F2.8 macrolens and a Sigma 10-20 wide-angle. My backup is a Canon 60D and a Sigma 18-270. I only use this for holidays, I don't want to change lenses when I'm walking around. I don't have tripods or external flashes. I'm an amateur, my profession is geography teacher.
Feedback
Start early, New York is really the city that never sleeps, but around 7-10 pm there aren't that many tourists in your way :) And for this photo, use a large Fstop, in my case F22, than the sun will be like a star. A lenshood will be handy too. Otherwise it's hard to focus with so much light.
