Great composition, love the colors as well, the black silhouettes against the early morning orange.

Behind The Lens

Location

This was at Sondela game reserve one of the venues where I cover the horse endurance rides which I do around 26 event a year.

Time

This was early moring just after sun rise.

Lighting

This was realy being at the right moment at the right place

Equipment

At this stage I had a Canon550 body with a 25/105 lence

Inspiration

At the moment this group of riders passed with no followup riders to shoot and as I look around the scene was there 5 minutes later with the next group the scene was gone

Editing

About 10% in Light room

In my camera bag

At the moment I have a 5Dii & a 7D with 24/105 Canon lense and a 150/500 sigma that I use for the endurance event

Feedback

On this type of shots It all comes down to luck behing at the right place at the right time I am lucky to be in the position to be out before sunset whaiting for the riders to come so my changes does in creace . So I would say the moe you go and look for the shots the better the changes and know your camera and settings only shoot on Manual to make your own disisions. Happy shooting
