It was 39C in the shade. I was sitting on the crumbling remnants of collapsed Chedi, wiping the sweat from my face and preparing to change a fading battery when this Monk wondered by whispering prayer chants that echoed from the sounds of other Monks chanting in a Temple near by. As he passed from the shadows, I saw the pure contentment and peace that enveloped him. I lifted my camera to capture this one shot before the battery finally quite.
