I have much respect for our Native American Indians and especially their chieftains. The image you captured of him preserves his heritage well. Living in the North Georgia mountains, where the Cherokee once called home. before it was taken from them and they were forced to walk the Trail of Tears, I was sadden to see the disheartening title of the image. If you've never read about the Trail of Tears, it truly is a injustice of what was done to these people. So the next "Pow Wow" you go to. all I ask is to please remember to honor them.

Terri, I also have much respect for the Native Americans as my husband is Mohawk from upstate New York and several of my friends are Cherokee...I'm just not politically correct. I do know about the Trail of Tears and it was sickening to say the least. Have you seen the outdoor drama "Unto These Hills?" There was no disrespect meant in the title.

Sepia treatment does so well for this image. You pay homage to wonderful people.
