Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in the village of Hohenschwangau in Germany.

Time

It was mid afternoon and snowing. We were walking to one of the castles when we came across the lake at the center of town. I captured this with my cellphone since my camera equipment wasn't readily available.

Lighting

Since it was cloudy and snowy, there was that full soft light you see during the snow.

Equipment

For this photo I used my IPhone5s. No other equipment.

Inspiration

When I came around the corner and saw the snow on and around the lake, it was beatiful. I wanted to try and capture that feeling and sense of peace.

Editing

Yes, I run the pictures through a HDR filter. This particular photo I used an app called Enlight.

In my camera bag

I always carry a tripod. And have been using it more and more. I also have macro lens and a telephoto lens for both my Nikon and IPhone.

Feedback

I like to think of my self as an accidental photographer. A lot of my photos I get while driving down the road or walking. I stop and take it when I see something that makes me feel. If you know how you want that feeling to come across, you will be able to frame the picture better.
