Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture of the mountains of Garfagnana in Tuscany.

Time

It was a cold and foggy morning in winter.

Lighting

My intent was to give emphasis to the gloomy atmosphere characterizing the shadows of the forest and counter it with the cold light coming from the sky.

Equipment

The photo was taken with a Canon 70D and a 10-18 mm Canon lens. No flash or tripod!

Inspiration

Click was inspired not only by my passion for nature photography, by the contrast between light and dark that dominated the scene.

Editing

Post-processing this photo was very light. After converting it to black and white, i simply accentuated the contrast to emphasize the areas of light and shadow.

In my camera bag

It depends on how much weight I want to carry! Lately I prefer travelling read and then with me I'm the canon 70 D and 24-105 canon L series.

Feedback

Choose the right time of day to ensure the best light you can to emphasize the most of your scene that you want to resume.
