If you notice by the little guys feet the frost, It is getting quite cold in Southern Ontario, ALREADY The Common Squirrel Stays all winter and you can see its bed throughout the area up high in the trees they make the Homes that withstand minus 30 Degree celsius temperatures and keep they cute dudes, and dudettes warm enough, "somehow" I have seen some use plastic and make the homes windproof, usually enough leaves layered will keep cold wind out and there body heat will keep house warm, all Fall they hide Unshelled nuts buried in a triangle formation so they find one, the other two are easy to find.Smart creature, and a treat to watch.

I appreciate the kind comments Amanda-The wildlife is fed well by people and they have bountiful supplies of there own foods, the wetlands are a very sensitive but healthy area

Red Squirrel??? i just saw a documentary about England, well they went on to start describing how they introduced the North American grey squirrel, who, much to the dismay of the British,turned out to be more adaptable to Brittains ecology than the indigenous red squirrels. .......
