In 2013 I was lucky enough to end up going on the STS Leeuwin II for a week. This was only my second time every being on the water in any boat-ship. So I was excited and scared because I didn't know what to expect. Me being me a HUGE adrenalin junkie I was the first to do anything that got the blood pumping. This picture was taken from just over half way up of the main mask which is 33 metres (108 ft) tall. (Yes I did climb to the top of the mask). The whole time i was on the Leeuwin I only saw 1 animal and that was a shark which i spotted from the top of the main mask. This was my favourite photo of the whole trip, which was long before i started to learn how to use a camera properly.

Nice point of view. I guess you got the "rush" you were looking for? Even half way looks scary to me, but I'm not one for heights. :-)

I have to tell you, for me this is a "holly crap" photograph. I am deathfully afraid of heights. With that said as hard as it is for me to look at this, it is Stunning!

Friends of ours went on the Leeuwin about 20 years ago now and loved it. Said they had to climb the mast whether they wanted to or not. I got green when we went on it still moored at Freo. Congrats on your bravery and I reckon it's a fantastic photo. Very unusual too.
