Behind The Lens

Location
This photograph was taken at the homey, camp-like, family friendly, gorgeous location of Maplelag Resort in Callaway, Minnesota. When we first noticed this tree we knew we were going to have to sneak Melissa and Ryan out of their dance to photograph them here.
Time
This photograph was taken around 9pm during the middle of Melissa and Ryan's wedding dance. We asked if we could sneak them out to photograph them at this magical tree at Maplelag Resort in Callaway, MN.
Lighting
We did not use any flash to take this photograph but wanted to capture the natural majestic beauty of the bride and groom at the tree in the dark of their wedding night.
Equipment
This photograph was taken with a Canon 7D and 17-50mm lens. No other equipment was used.
Inspiration
When we first noticed this gorgeous tree at the homey, camp-like, family friendly, beautiful location of Maplelag Resort in Callaway, Minnesota, we knew we would have to sneak Melissa and Ryan out of their dance to photograph them together here on their wedding night.
Editing
We edited out a car in the background and blurred around the lights to make the image more magical and majestic.
In my camera bag
My Canon 50D, sigma f1.4 50mm lens, tamron f2.8 17-50mm lens, canon f2.8 70-200mm lens.
Feedback
Many times no flash is needed to capture a gorgeous, sparkling light filled image.
