Location
This photo was taken in little English willage called Stevington there is this historic windmill in the middle of a field and it gives numerous photographic opportunities love this location, I always try to come back there as many times as I canTime
Due to the nature of my work (night shift) I usually do my shooting in the early morning and this is no exception I'm guessing this would be about 6 am I set up myself, frame the shot and was waiting for perfect sky :)Lighting
As you can see sun just started to raise giving nice glow on the field and the windmill itself lovely worm tone couldn't ask for more reallyEquipment
I had as always my trusty canon 7d and I think for this shot I used sigma 10 20 mm f4-5.6 wide lens as I wanted to capture as much of this scene as I possibly could the camera was mounted on my little manfrotto travel compact tripod I have another manfrotto tripod professional one but I found it to be too heavy and bulky so I tend to use this smaller one and I use graduated nd filter one of them cheap ones plastic ones I'm no professional so money are tight :)Inspiration
Early morning worm light inspires me most everything looks so much better in this type of light and I was lucky enough to be in my favourite location at the right time when this lovely light happens to beEditing
I did my usual row convertion in lightroom and if I remember it right I propably did some dodge and burning in photoshop cs6 I try not to go to far with my post processing although sometimes I find myself do exactly that :) echhhh. ... nobody's perfectIn my camera bag
Lowepro camera bag medium size as I don't carry that much equipment with me I usually have my camera travel tripod spare battery and memory card you never know .... 3 lenses canon 17 85 sigma 10 20 and canon 50 mm f1.8 and fiew ng filters cleaning kit and that's pretty much itFeedback
All I could say is don't rush! Just go to the place you wanna photograph lime really early so you have plenty time to set yourself and think about framing lighting where the sun going to be and just wait for it don't just take one shot and go use the fact that you already there try different angles there's always better shot out there you just have to find it .
