It was almost noon, and light seems to be too strong and sharp to create a good image.
But a lot of clouds appeared and light became smoother, allowing me to phohotograph this rhododendron highway that leads the eye to alps peaks..

Location
I took this picture in "Alpe Devero", italian Alps. This is the end of an old moraine, now covered with rhododendron and larchesTime
I arrived on this location approximately at 10 AM. Light was a little bit hard, but clouds helped me to create a softer image.Lighting
All of the scene i lightened by natural lightEquipment
The shot was taken usin a Canon 6d camera, a 17-40 L lens with circular polariIzer. I used a Gitzo Systematic tripod with Sirui k30 Headball.Inspiration
I didn't planned this particular shot before the hiking, but when i reached the location i saw this amzing bush of rhododendron that looked like an highway of flowers. I started to work with composition, studying the foregound and the disposition of lines. I waited the best light condition and i pressed the button!Editing
I post processed the image mainly using the following techniquies: -luminosity masks -burn and dodge -color dodging -light bleeding -orton effect -sharpeningIn my camera bag
When i hike i usually carry on my shoulder an F-Stop Satori bag filled with the following objects: -Canon 6d camera -Canon M3 mirrorless camera -Canon 17-40 L lens -Canon 24-105 f4 L lens -Canon 70-200 f4 L IS lens -filters (ND3, big stopper, polarizer) -remote control -additional batteries -cleaning drapes -torches -additional clothes -Gitzo Sysematic tripodFeedback
Most challenging thing about realizing imagis like this is to use an incisive composition. You must create order starting from a chaotic location.Look carefully at lines, curves, patterns and other things able to lead the eye through the image. Don't shot scenes like this in afternoon and without clouds in the sky. Overcast days or partially covered skies are better conditions...Sunrise or sunset are even better
