Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on a hill behind my house.

Time

I had gone to the hill before Sunrise, to watch the Sunrise and shoot it. It was summer vacation and schools were closed. A lot of kids had climbed the hill too, to explore.

Lighting

I saw these four girls busy looking at the Sun, its redness and admiring it. I walked to a place such that the girls were in between me and the Sun and were few feet above the level that of mine. I got a perfect silhouette of them as they blocked the Sun's rays from falling on the lens.

Equipment

I used my entry level Camera then - Canon 1200D, with Tamron lens of 18 mm - 270 mm.

Inspiration

The idea of silhouette in the morning Sun and playful kids made me think of clicking such a shot.

Editing

A little bit of cropping that's all I did.

In my camera bag

Today I carry the same Canon 1200D body with a Canon 18 mm - 135 mm lens, to satisfy my interest of Travel Photography.

Feedback

Plan the shot in your head, before you take one. Planning before clicking helps a lot in getting better photos.
