Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Buckingham, PA on the New Hope and Ivyland RR line. It's a string of abandoned cars on a siding.

Time

It was about mid day without looking up the exact time. I was out with a friend looking for fall photo opportunities and we stopped by here as it's not far from where we live.

Lighting

Nothing special about the lighting. It was a cloudy day. Of course early or late in the day is a great time to take outdoor photos as you get shadows and things don't come out looking flat. This one however kinda took care of itself.

Equipment

I did use a tripod with my NIKON 3200 and Tamron 18-270 lens.

Inspiration

A friend and I were just out looking for fall photo opportunities and we passed by and stopped. I've been there before and taken some pictures of these abandoned train cars. It's not far from where we live.

Editing

This one didn't need much post processing. I might have filled in some light and upped the vibrancy on a Coral Paint Shop Pro program I have.

In my camera bag

NIKON 3200 with a Tamron 18-270 lens. Aside from my tripod that is the extent of my equipment. I'd love to upgrade but I can't justify the cost to go to full frame so I made do with what I have.

Feedback

I make a yearly calendar of photos from the year and give them out at Christmas to friends and neighbors. I have been told my photos are really good but I think I'm just an amateur photographer who finds angles maybe other people don't see. That said I tell people there are photo opportunities everywhere if you just look around. I don't do indoor or people or portrait photography. I like landscapes, nature and water in addition to photos of places I go and take photos there.
