Standing watch above the rising surf and spectacular rock formations is Pemaquid. Finding some water in the rocks to capture its reflection is no problem. Waiting until the wind dies down and no people around is the true test. That and locating the point when your GPS dies because of no link.

Stunning image with strong focal point that is repeated in the reflection. Colours and value are well balanced, the texture in the rock formation provides the leading lines to bring the viewer in and hold his attention. Great image! Can't wait to see more of your work!

You make me laugh Patrick. I've posted what 15 photos. Do you have any idea how many there are NOT posted LOL I unfortunately more times than not shoot midday and have learned to deal with things in PP.

I'm impressed. I'm very impressed! I've only shot a handful of night shots and find it a challenging and rewarding time of day/night for photography. What you've done here is inspirational!!!

The reflection is perfectly placed. It really makes an already wonderful image. Nice work!

I like the framed reflection of the lighthouse and how the structured rocks leads the eye up to the top of your image. Nicely done.

The sun had gone down but you can capture this same reflection in daylight as well. I was there both times but I prefer this capture because the light in the lighthouse is on.Equipment

I was going up the coast of Maine stopping at several lighthouses along the way ending up in Acadia National Park. It was such an awesome trip I'm thinking about doing it again next year.Editing
I converted my RAW file in CS6 and darken the sky just a touch. I used Niks Viveza to brighten up the house and bring out the texture in the rocks. In my camera bag

Patience, there are people walking around the lighthouse that you have to wait for them to get out of your shot.
