Location
This photo was taken on a wall, the small pebbles are sand grains in cement between two house bricks.Time
I took this photo about mid day, I had some time free so went in search of zebra spiders.Lighting
the lighting was mostly natural but I was using on camera flash to fill in the shadowsEquipment
I used my Nikon D5300 with a kenko x2 converter and a sigma 105mm f2.8 macro lens, it was a hand held photo but I was leaning against the wall for stability.Inspiration
I was inspired by many photos on viewbug of zebra spiders and wanted to hunt some down as well, I kept hunting and eventually found this one.Editing
I did use topaz to do this photo which is a re edit of the original but the edit gave it more life and depth, I use photoshop sometimes but this was just a topaz adjust edit.In my camera bag
In my bag I always carry two Nikon D5300 cameras, 18-55mm and 55-300mm kit lenses, sigma 10-20mm, sigma 10-50mm f2.8, tokina 11-16mm f2.8, sigma 300mm prime f2.8, lensbaby scout, tamron 28-75mm f2.8, kenko x2 and x1.4 converters and a few filters and spare batteries, its very heavy but I like to be ready for whatever I happen across.Feedback
and advice would be to keep trying as with macro its very difficult to get one good shot as depth of field is so shallow, just keep trying and you will get the shot you are after, mine are all hand held, a tripod would help some but I cant get on with that myself.
