Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on Catavento Cultural, a museum in São Paulo - SP - Brazil, dedicated to sciences and technologies. On the entrance you have some old vehicles and military trains, airplanes and cars.

Time

I met the model Giovana around 3PM, and when we found this airplane we took several shots and poses in front of it, being sure that the daylight would help with the most natural and vintage result possible.

Lighting

I used only the natural sunlight. We tried many angles and poses/ideas to be sure that we were going to build something really 'vintaged'.

Equipment

Canon Rebel T3, 18~55mm lens, Polarizer and blue filters (Vivitar and Kenko)

Inspiration

Giovana came with the idea and I also wanted to do something exploring my passion for oldschool hairstyles, machines, fashion and more. To add a bit of desire on it, we found this wonderful airplane 'waiting for us', and airplanes are a big passion of mine.

Editing

No post processing for this pic. We tested many ideas with filters and camera configs at the time we were shooting to be sure that the photo was going to be naturally fine.

In my camera bag

Actually, a 6D and a T3 Canon cameras, with 3 different lenses and many filters. I really preffer to make the results happen "live" instead of tons of post-processing.

Feedback

Talk a plan as much as possible with your model. We went to the right place, on right time, with the right costume, cameras and filters. This was our first session and after weeks planning, the results were fabulous.
