Photo was taken in Epping Forest nearby London in UK.Time
I have taken this photo in the morning around 9 am. I wanted to be in that location, I was scouting during summer, before visitors (joggers, bikers, walkers) forrest attracts in big amount. It's lovely area all year long.Lighting
Light was natural. I didn't use any extra lighting. I was lucky actually as on that particular day, sun was going thru branches in the morning and after 2 hours disappeared completely, changing that day into typical English autumn day - rainy, cloudy and dull.Equipment
I used my first camera I have bought which is Canon 450D. I have mounted camera on tripod and using my kit lens 18-55mm I was "shoveling" with focal lenght to find best framing. I set Aperture Priority to F/25, set ISO to 100 and using remote release fired the shutter for 0.8 sec with -3/4 exposure compensension.Inspiration
Inspiration was and still is finding my own way to present my vision of life to my family and friends. Also big inspirtation comes out from other photographers and I am not talking only about profesional photographers but also whole group of very good amateur photographers.They push me to go out, looking for new places, finding my owm way to make photos.Editing
I have used Lightroom to add a bit of hue and I have slightly cropped photo as I wasn't 100% happy with original frame.In my camera bag
Normally I am taking my Canon 750D I have bought recently, tripod and few lenses. I have always my kit lens EFS18-55mm, I have prime lens EF50mm F1.8 and EFS55-250mm, tripod, spare batteries, spare memory cards. When I go out shooting I take some chocolate bars (because photoshooting is very exhausting) and bottle of water.Feedback
Autumn is lovely time of the year. I think it's my favourite. You don't have to wait till golden hour to achieve beautiful effects. Leafs colours give you even more out of themselves when they lit with a sun. You just need to make yourself out and be prepared for a walk. If you don't know area be careful to not get lost but in places you are familar with, just go of the track and keep trying to find something what will amaze you, sometimes it is a scene you have been before but in not that part of the year. You will never be able to capture scene in the exact way you see but taking photos is always compromise between what you want to have and what you are actually have in the frame. Never give up and keep trying.
