The photo was taken in the early afternoon on a fall day that quickly turned dark and snowy a short while later.Lighting
It was natural lighting, low behind the rolling hills of the area so it was just hitting the upper part of the trees.Equipment
I used a Sony A350 hand held on the side of the highway where I jumped out and waited for traffic to clear.Inspiration
This is part of my annual Fall Foilage Run through the Forks of the Credit, Caledon, Hockley Valley and Orangeville area. Each year I take several trips through the area and enjoy.Editing
This photo had very little post-processing, just some basic light/dark balance with mid tones. This was one impressive year for colour.In my camera bag
I typically have my new Nikon, a short lens, a zoom (55-300), extra batteries, extra memory cards, a tripod and various filters.Feedback
For this shot it's about being in the right place at the right time --track the optimal colour change and the weather and get out there and enjoy.
