Lovely reflections, the sky in the water looks almost unreal. Did you blend in another background? If you did, it works very well, if not, amazing skies ;-)

Thank you kindly. Theres no blending - just the original image with some tonal mapping and light editing applied :-)

The photo was taken at "The City of Arts and Sciences" in Valencia, my favourite city and somewhere i'd really love to spend a great deal of time exploring. I've been half a dozen times so far. There's something there for everyoneTime
I'm not much of a morning man as I tend to wake up like a grumpy old bear but the opportunity was just too good. For once I was up and ready for the sunriseLighting
It was a clear, bright day. The light was exactly how i'd hopedEquipment
I used my Vario-Sonnar 16–35mm F2.8 ZA SSM attached to a Sony A99v. The shot was taken using the old Mk1 human arm and leg combination. I do carry a tripod but not on this tripInspiration
It's one of my favourite places - the architecture is amazing but what really makes the place for me is that the buildings are all set in water to create spectacular reflections. I think the people who designed the place - Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela - are both geniuses.Editing
I used some tonal mapping to bring out the reflections and clouds and some other little touches. But it's the tonal mapping that adds the magicIn my camera bag
For travelling I'll pack a macro lens, a 16-35mm f2.8 zoom a 50mm f1.4 prime plus air blower. Everything goes in hand luggage with me when flying so I have to be careful to leave some allowance for clothes and essentials tooFeedback
Always enjoy what you do. It shows in every image you take. How many times in your life will you get a chance to take a special picture? You may as well make the very most of each of them
