This image I captured on a lazyg Sunday afternoon in my backyard. The really great thing about Macro photography is that any object no matter how mundane can become a work of art.Time
I shot this image late in the afternoon. I originally was chasing a bee shot but when that failed to happen I turned my attention to the grass beneath my feet.Lighting
The lighting was from behind which is perfect for macro shots. I always wait until late afternoon so the light is softer and ads better depth t the shot.Equipment
My Camera of choice is still the Nikon D700, I always use a tripod for Macro Shots with my Tamron 180mm. Shot at f5.6, ISO 200,SP 10/3200, FL 1800/10Inspiration
I had some time to spare and the need to take a some images can really be hard to ignore, so that's heading out into your own backyard for random shoot can bring the most amazing results. You don't need to be a professional, or the best, just the desire to create.Editing
I use Lightroom for most of my editing and Photoshop for any Overlays or effects. I still occasionally even use Paintshop Pro. (Which I have always liked)In my camera bag
I actually take photos as part of my full time employment which is amazing! I generally have my Nikon D700, and my Nikon, Sigma lenses. 50mm, 35mm, 85mm, 24-700mm, my Speedlight and my Tripod.Feedback
Anything can be photographed and made to look incredibly interesting. Macro Photography is such a challenge and it just takes practice, practice and more practice. I still have so much too learn and it can be frustrating when you think you have the shot, but when you bring it up on the computer it's rubbish. I won't give up I just go back and redo it till I get it right. It is so worth it.
