Location
I took this photo on a beach (Foz do Arelho, in Portugal) near my city where I regularly see the sea.Time
It was late afternoon of a working day in autumn. It was a cloudy day and the landscape was quiet and sleepy.Lighting
The sun's rays peek through the clouds and fell into the sea as if it were a mirror. I do not have flash. The light was natural.Equipment
A Canon 5 D Mark III with 24-70 mm F4 L lens with no tripod and no flash.Inspiration
I like sunsets and this place has always a different sunset. The clouds and the brightness of the sea compelled to take a shot.Editing
Yes, with Intensify Pro. I like this software because it´s easy and quick to have in minutes several versions for the photo. I pick the raw file and did´t change the exposition nor the contrast. I´ve enhanced the shadows witch resulted in the darkness of the foreground, leaving the main role to the sky and the sea.In my camera bag
A Canon D5 Mark III, zoom lens 16-35 mm F4L, 24-70 mm F4L, 100-400 mm F4-5.6 L and a Leica D-Lux as a travel camera. I rarely take the tripod or the monopod from Manfrotto.Feedback
This place is very particular because the weather changes too quickly. A few minutes later this moment was impossible to catch. You will need always some luck to catch beautiful moments but also persistence and patience (I have more then 50 shots in this place but none like this). The dawn and the dusk are the best moments to have magical moments in your photos. This is only a hobby for me, but fulfills my spare time and I´m always learning with other photos posted in ViewBug.
