Behind The Lens

Location
This photograph was taken in Bournemouth, on the South Coast of England, from a viewpoint at the top of a cliff.
Time
I was new to photography, and noticed the light was perfect for the shot - I took over 300 photo's, and thought I'd be happy if only one came out. In fact, it was pouring with rain and all I had was a plastic bag to cover my then brand new Nikon! The shot was taken handheld with a 200mm zoom, so I consider myself very lucky and very steady handed at the time!
Lighting
The lighting was natural, so I didn't need to change any settings.
Equipment
This was shot with a Nikon D90.
Inspiration
I have a passion for aviation, as I used to live by Biggin Hill Airport - the home of the Spitfire.
Editing
I didn't use any processing, this was straight off the camera.
In my camera bag
I normally carry my Nikon D5100, a zoom lens, a tripod and a couple of filters, I always have the UV filter on, and maybe a CPL.
Feedback
Patience, snacks and a bottle of water! That's all you need to be a photographer!
