Behind The Lens

Location
This photo was taken at the "dance america" dance competition nationals in Schaumburg IL. the shot was a collab effort between myself and one of the models dance instructors!
Time
i took this photo around 5pm (mainly because the dancers were free at this time) however i do a majority of my shooting at that time. Even though this photo is black and white i belive that is the time the world graces us with the most rich and vibrant colors.
Lighting
there is always an aspect of lighting in my shot. I believe each picture is tells a story and light is just a tool to help tell that story.
Equipment
for this shot I used a sony a77ii with a 16-50 mm sony lens. this is one of the first pictures i took after switch from the sony a200
Inspiration
i cant really say what inspired me i just had this image in my head and i wanted to see it in real life!
Editing
I took this picture through the ringer when it came down to it! took it through 4 different processes before it come out how i wanted it!
In my camera bag
Its slowly growing but i have a basic every day lens, a macro, zoom, and portrait lens
Feedback
Shoot with dancers or movers they provide the best detail when it comes to poses or capturing an idea!
