Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture by the river Schelde, the river that crosses my hometown Antwerp in Belgium.

Time

This was teken in the early morning. We were lucky that the upcoming sun came on her face to give that special accent. By the way, it was around 5 degrees.

Lighting

I always work with the natural light, here I had the chance that the upcoming sun shined on the face of the model.

Equipment

I used the Nikon D700 with a Nikon objective 80-200mm.

Inspiration

I enjoy placing the models in a desolate atmosphere or nature, it makes them quite emotional, with inner feelings.

Editing

I made this image a bit darker and gave it a bit more contrast.

In my camera bag

I only carry the D700 of Nikon and two objectives: the Nikon 80-200mm 2.8 and the Nikon 50mm 1.8

Feedback

It's hard to give any advice, the only advice I can give is capture the moment, I never plan what I do before the shoot, it all depends of how the model is, how the weather is. That's the exciting thing about my photoshoots, I never know what I'm going to get.
