Shot by my 11 year old daughter Carolyn - Wiki:The store has occupied the same location in St. Mark's Place, a punk rock mecca, since 1975. The downstairs portion formerly housed a pinball parlor. They are famous for supplying stars like the Ramones, The Clash and Debbie Harry of Blondie with clothing during the golden age of punk rock in the 1970s and 80s. Many of today's top musicians and celebrities are still clothed by the store. In 2005, Trash and Vaudeville supplied alternative rock band Hoobastank with some of the clothing they wore on the Family Values Tour that summer. The store is owned by Ray Goodman, and managed by Jimmy Webb... I spent most of my early teen years until my late 30's, stomping around this neighborhood with punk rockers and skinheads. Jimmy Webb, can be seen grabbing a smoke on the stairs.
