Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken at the groom's house on the wedding day.

Time

This is one of the unplanned shots, I just liked the cat who watched the guests at home. The picture was taken before noon in natural light.

Lighting

I was shooting in natural light, the light came from the window. The photo is clearly visible shadow side and side, illuminated by light from the window.

Equipment

This picture was taken on the Canon Canon 5d Mark2, and for the first time after the purchase I took with me a new Canon lens 24mm 1.4.L. This shot I made on the most open aperture and was impressed with the result! Using an open aperture, I did not have to shoot from a tripod and no use a flash.

Inspiration

Of course, I like the wise look of a cat, he seemed to have a watched the old man for everything happening around. And look how his ears are enlightened!

Editing

I processed this photo in Adobe Lightroom - added contrast and shaded the edges of the photo to further highlight the main object. The Central framing allowed to strengthen the attraction to the main object.

In my camera bag

Usually I take several lenses together with the camera: 50mm, 135mm and 24mm. Also in the bag is a flash for dark rooms, a pencil to clean the lenses and a gray card to set the correct white balance.

Feedback

To create a similar image, you need to open the aperture as much as possible. If you want to remove such a frame on a 24mm lens - you need to come to the animal very close :)
