Behind The Lens

Location

Fushimi Inari Shrine in Kyoto, Japan.

Time

It was early afternoon as I began my stroll through this magnificant shrine. If I may be honest, is perhaps my favorite place in the entire world. These torii, orange gates, reach all the way up the mountain. Many glorious steps of row after row of olden gates of Shinto. I remember stopping here and a sigh of "wow..." breathed out of my mouth. So I took the shot.

Lighting

The pathway was lit by rays of the sun peeking through each gate.

Equipment

I shot with a simple sony camera, not a SLR.

Inspiration

I absolutely adore this shrine and I wanted the world to see it's beauty along with me.

Editing

The only processing I did was heighten colors and clarify.

In my camera bag

Nowadays I have my Canon 70D. 70-200mm lense. I am rather a beginner to equipment, but I fully enjoy taking pictures. Share with others the joy I see in front of me everyday.

Feedback

Personally I believe anywhere in Japan you can find beautiful shrines and temples in whichever city you travel. If you're bold and do a bit of exploring, there are many beautifully kept secrets on the hidden streets.
