Also known as a Hunters' Moon (autumn full moons, due to their reddish appearance). This "Blood Moon" coinsided during a "Super Moon" (a full moon in the moon's closest point to Earth in its monthly orbit) from atop Cerro Balcon, the highest point in Culebra, Puerto Rico. For a better resolution, just click on the link.... it looks a bit better....what you see is St. Thomas on the horizon line and Isla Culebrita in the middle. The needle like point to the right on the highest point of Isla Culebrita rests the oldest lighthouse in the Caribbean. Although, it lighthouse area itself is now in demise and completely collapsed, the U.S. Coast Gaurd maintains a battery on the still standing tower itself.
