We had some clouds in the Silicon Valley. With the possibility of some red sky on sunset I headed to Alviso. The cloud cover was too dense in the West were the sun was settling. I turned north when I could hear a train approaching.
I had the ND filter on, so the train got blurred with a 4 sec exposure. After that I took one more photo with 30 second exposure. I processed a balanced HDR photo from both RAW exposures, then blended them, taking the longer exposure for the water and shrubs.
The water has a red tint due to minerals and algae, and the ND filter made that red a bit more intense. I think the blue-gray sky and the red water and shrubs complement each other.
