I only wish there were some clouds in the sky to give it more depth and texture and some negative space between the dude's body and arms.....and maybe a little more off centered ......all in all, good job!

Sublime what shots does in front of the beautiful sun ... but rare in NB Canada we see the sun here with all the spraying of chemtrails ~ just saying... but your shot is sublime

What a impressive shot I presume you took this with a Canon 70-200mm f/4 lens...?

Location
This photo was taken west of the town where I live, Pocatello, Idaho. I had been out scouting for a location with just enough rise so it would appear empty behind them. Once I found the spot I wanted I had to wait for I good day, no rain, no smoke from fires, and both my husband and I could go at the same time. The horse, Jack, and my husband were very patient with me. Both standing still.Time
I knew I would not have a very big window. I started shooting about 7:15 and finished up by 7:45 it was getting too darkLighting
Lighting was just the backlighting from the sun. I did have to work it a bit to get the best where I wanted it.Equipment
I used a Canon 5D II, 70-200 lens at about 100mm, I did use a tripod even though I was shooting at shutter speeds greater than 1/1000.Inspiration
My husband is a typical Marlboro Man. He inspires me.Editing
Post processed in PS CC, Boosted colors, vibrance, and cropped to make my thirds better. In my camera bag
A wide angle, a tele photo, external flash and a couple of ND filters. Tripod for sure.Feedback
Find a good location then I use a mobile app,TPE, The Photographers Ephermirus. It is great for knowing sunset and rise times, angles and degrees so you know ahead of time where to set up and where to have your subject.
