One of my best moments ever was when I got to help save a wild Sharp-Shinned Hawk. My Dad found him by the highway and called me. I got permission from the wildlife rangers to bring him to the refuge.
He never tried to hurt me, just rode quietly to the refuge in my arms. It was like he knew I was trying to help him.
The Rangers kept him in a quite place and as it turns out he was only stunned and the next day Ranger Rea released him back to the wild.
I will never forget how it felt to hold and protect such a beautiful creature in my arms if only for a little while.
Just look at him! He held my hands in his talons and lay his head on my chest, like he was thanking me and wanting me to protect him.
I have no words......

Such a kind and loving gesture to make Brenda which would only be expected from such a warm hearted person as you most certainly are. Good to hear the Hawk recovered and is now back in the wilds of its home land. Paul.
