This photo was taken at Blue Spruce Park near Indiana, Pennsylvania.Time
It was around 5pm on a heavily overcast Autumn afternoon. After a brief shower, the sun poked through the clouds for just a few minutes. Generally, shooting a landscape into the setting sun isn't my ideal circumstance but in this case it helped to illuminate the brilliant foliage.Lighting

At the time I was using a Nikon D70 with a 70-300mm Sigma stock lens.Inspiration
I was returning from another shoot and decided to drive thru the park scouting for spots to shoot foliage on a "better day" later in the week. As it turned out? This WAS the best day.Editing
I use Corel paintshop software for my post work. For this image I made minimal adjustments. A small tweak of the backlighting and a single layer of edge sharpening.In my camera bag
