Great. Possibly I best picture I have seen of this coast line. Love the clouds just behind the cliffs. To me it makes the picture great

Congrats on winning my Na Pali Coast photo contest! I love how up close and personal you got with the land. Keep up the good work!

Location
This was taken from along the Na Pali coastline in Kauai, Hawaii, my home. It is accessible only by boat or foot; no roads on this side of the island to protect it.Time
It was late afternoon, as we were enjoying a sunset cruise - we always take guests on it to see the whales and the coast.Lighting
I think was natural afternoon light. It is often hazy, so a dehazing tool is helpful in those cases.Equipment
This was shot withCamera: NIKON D7000 Aperture: f/5.6 ISO: 200 Exposure: 10/1250Inspiration
I think this part of the coast is one of the loveliest places. I like the the sharp, knife-edge definition of the rock.Editing
I did have to dehaze this, as it was pretty misty from the churning seas and low clouds that frequent the area, and I bumped up the clarity and contrast to really bring out those cliff edges. In my camera bag
I usually, now, carry a Nikon D3x and wide angle lens, as well as a 70-200. If I am planning a long trip or water, filters and a flashlight are added. That's my "never without" stuff, anyway.Feedback
Just take the shots that you love.
