The photo was taken looking East across the Sea of Cortez from the beach early morning just before sunrise in Baja California, Mexico, near San Felipe.

The lighting was pure and natural, and a little surreal.

There are many beautiful sunrises on the Baja. I just loved the the golden tones and simplicity of this particular one.
