Nice image. I wonder what it would be like in black & white. Sometimes it makes the eye look at the image differently. Best wishes, Steve

Behind The Lens

Location

We have got local cooks all around the country who cooks for small occasions. This was taken in one such event called " Manas Pooja", celebrated widely across India where this man was busy with the lunch recipe.

Time

Around 1:00 PM in the noon.

Lighting

Its completely taken in natural light.

Equipment

Nikon D5200 along with Tamron 70-300mm lens

Inspiration

The experience and hard work can be seen through the wrinkles on the face. I wanted to capture that expression were he looks down, tired from his life with all those years of hard work.

Editing

Yes. I photoshoped it a bit. Specially the wrinkle detailing part. I wasn't able to catch a good sharp shot because it was purely candid and the man was movie continuously so i had to take a distance shot.

In my camera bag

I have my camera Nikon D5200, Nikkor 18-55mm lens, nikkor 50mm prime lens, tamron 70-300mm lens, nikon shitter remote battery back and tripod (occasionally).

Feedback

Try to get a stable shot where the subject isn't moving at all. These pictures are meant to be sharp. Though don't make the subject pose too much, try to keep it natural. Don't try staged portraits when you click random guys from the street because many a times it eliminates the chance of capturing true expression. So there is a high chance of missing out the story involved.
