Behind The Lens

Location

I took this picture on my barbecue on my back patio.

Time

I took this picture around 4:30pm. I was cooking supper for my family

Lighting

This is 100% available light. It was partially cloudy, but not really enough to give a soft box feel.

Equipment

I used a Canon T5i and a Canon 50mm 1.8 lens. I hand-held the camera

Inspiration

I was cooking supper, and when I absent-mindedly lined up the sausages like seen in the shot, I thought, this would make a great picture. So I went into the house to find my camera.

Editing

I process 95% of my images in Lightroom. I don't really use photoshop very often. This image was just processed in Lightroom. I mostly just brought the highlights and shadows down, and the contrast up quite a bit. I also did some small tweaks to the whites and blacks, and a slight bump in vibrance.

In my camera bag

I do not have a lot of gear, so my bag has ALL my equipment. I have a canon T5i, 18-55 kit lens, 55-250 kit lens, and the 50mm 1.8 stm. I also have a Vanguard Alta +263AB100 tripod with a ball head

Feedback

Always keep your eye out for great shots. You never know when something very ordinary can make a great picture
