The butterfly is so crisp and sharp, I love it.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Riley Park in Greenfield, Indiana.

Time

It was taken in the mid afternoon around 4 or 5 pm.

Lighting

It was taken in natural sunlight.

Equipment

This was taken with my Fujifilm Finepix S camera. It was shot in flower mode.

Inspiration

I love butterflies and with this one, I loved the contrast of the bright butterfly on the dying weeds. (It was taken in early fall.)

Editing

All I really did to the shot was crop it a bit and brightened it up.

In my camera bag

Back when this was taken a couple of years ago, the Fujifilm camera was the only one I used. I have since purchased a Canon Rebel T5. For the time being, I don't have any special lenses or filters other than 1 UV filter for the Canon.

Feedback

With this particular shot, I followed the butterfly along a creek bed until it stopped long enough to get the shot. My best advice is too take your time and not get in too big of a hurry to capture the shot. Persistence and patience usually pay off in the long run.
