Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at a local farmers field in rural Saskatchewan. During the flooding even a simple farmers dugout was amazing.

Time

I was practicing capturing the colors of the skies at dusk, as the sun went down.

Lighting

I had just taken a night photography class and wanted to catch actual, natural colors without using any editing techniques.

Equipment

I used a tripod to increase the chance of a sharper picture especially with the movement of the sun. I used a Nikon D300.

Inspiration

I love reflections and natural lighting to capture the same colors that your natural eye can see.

Editing

In this instance no. Maybe a touch of contrast but overall I was trying to get the most use out of my camera.

In my camera bag

I shoot with 2 camera's my Nikon D300 and my Canon SX50. I also carry my tripod many spare batteries and lens cleaning kit. I have various lenses for shooting different items. I have a wide angle lens for scenic shots, and a macro lens for close up. I also carry rain gear 'cause you just never know.

Feedback

Try to get to know the many settings in your camera to capture natural light as opposed to editing in photoshop for a more natural image.
