Location
This photo was taken on the east coast of south florida at Hobe Sound Beach.Time
I had gone shore fishing with a friend at 8 in the morning. We were not catching anything so I went to taking pictures. This was shot probably around 10 A.M.Lighting
The only way I was able to get the nice blue look from the reflection of the sky was getting as low of an angle as possible. Other shots I got that were taken at a slightly higher angle looked terrible.Equipment
I used a Canon 70D with a Canon 55-250mm. I have no water housing so I had to take pictures of the waves that were breaking in front of me and then stand up super quick so I would not get the camera wet.Inspiration
A guy I follow on instagram has taken some pictures like this. I decided to try it myself and I love how it looks. However, this guy uses a water housing and I don't, which makes it a little more difficult.Editing
The only post-processing I did was ramping up the whites and highlight quite a bit, bringing up a tad bit of exposure, and a little bit of vibrance. In my camera bag
I usually carry my Canon 70D with four Canon lenses. 10-18mm, 18-55mm, 55-250mm, and a 50mm 1.8Feedback
Get in the water on your knees and crouch low. Try to be as far in the water as the waves are breaking to get a nice side shot of it.
