Every few years I take a trip between San Francisco and Seattle, taking photos early in the morning and just before dusk. This photo was taken on the Oregon Coast, early in the morning, before the morning fog had burned off. I liked the depth, the contrast and the texture from the first time I saw it.

The lovable gigantic dog of a friend of mine. He is a bit of a drooler, but totally lovable.

Succulent seeming to glow from within because of the way the light strikes it.

The tree from below neatly divides the area on either side between light and dark.

This is so graceful, it almost has the appearance of a ballet dancer. Selected to appear on the cover of a widely circulated local magazine.
