Awesome photo looks like its just waiting for someone to restore it, wish we had old wrecks to photograph like that here but we don't have the desert like you do in USA.

Always loved taking pictures of old rusting cars. They tend to make statement of the past.

Fabulous image Cynthia. I love finding rusty old treasures like this one and documenting them before they disappear.

Location
This photo was taken on the Petrified Forest Rd, route 66, near the Painted Desert.Time
I remember we on vacation and were traveling through the Petrified Forrest trying to decide where to next. We almost turned onto I40 to head to Gallup for the night. I saw the sign for the Painted Desert and told my husband to keep driving. Looking for more signs about the Painted Desert I missed seeing the car sitting off the left side of the road, however Ole Eagle Eyes spotted it and he was very excited. This image was taken on Sept. 2, 2015 about 3:45 pmLighting
The lighting behind the car was fine, however the lighting in front was filled with shadows. In order to get the the image I wanted I had to take several shots lighting for the sky then the car.Equipment
Canon T3i, Tamron 11-16mm, HandheldInspiration
I was inspired to take this photo from this angle because when looking at it is reminded me of the Steven Spielberg movie Christine. There was just something eerie about the way it looked sitting there and the way the sky looked.Editing
Yes, I took the RAW files and processed them in Photomatix Pro to bring out the details on the car and sky, saved as a tiff file and reopened in Photoshop to lighten up the dark areas. In my camera bag
Canon 80D Canon 18-55mm, Canon 18-135mm, Tokina 11-16mmFeedback
When taking photos always take more than one and try many different angles. If the lighting is not perfect or what you are looking for make it work for you. But most of all have fun.
