Loved the low lying clouds in this photograph. They reflected beautifully with the pines. Crested Butte Colorado.

I love scenes like this, to be in it, to look at it and feel the silence. Great capture!

This picture just speaks to me. Like comfort, home and peacefulness all wrapping you up in a cozy blanket. :)

Location
This image was taken in the mountains of Crested Butte, Colorado. The scenery in that area of the country is stunning.Time
My son was my driver that morning, he looked out the window at 5:00 and said, "it's a really moody outside, get your camera, and let's go for a ride". This was taken at about 6:45, when the sun was really starting to light the hillside, and the clouds were hanging low.Lighting
That morning the light kept changing quickly. When we started out it was raining, but the time we got to this pond it was starting to clear up, and the light was hitting the hillside perfect, and the reflection on the pond was beautiful.Equipment
This was shot with a Canon 5d Mark lll 24-125 mm lens. I use a Really Right Stuff lightweight tripod.Inspiration
Everything about this scene was perfect, the light, the colors of the hillside, the clouds, and the reflection in the pond. It was just one of those moments that are too perfect to be true.Editing
This image did not require much in the way of post processing. I use Lightroom CC, and really just decreased the exposure in a few areas. In my camera bag
Usually I have Canon 24-125 Lens, and a 70-200. Also, a notebook, and pen to record my thoughts on the photo, and my newest addition is a Hoodman Loupe, to allow me to see my results in the field much better.Feedback
To me, early mornings are the best time to get really interesting landscapes. You are just more likely to have the fog, low hanging clouds, and beautiful skies.
