I found this beautiful plant in a garden by the sea. A lady passed by and told me that this is an artichoke plant. The seedpods are very similar to that of an artichoke, however this is a Datura. All species of Datura are poisonous, especially their seeds and flowers. The word datura comes from the sanskrit ("thorn apple"). In little measures it was used in Ayurveda as a medicine from the ancient times. It is used in rituals and prayers to Shiva.
