Congratulations on being a Contest Finalist in the Your Summer Photo Contest. You have captured the wave beautifully. I don't think I would like to have been dumped by this incoming wave.

This image is amazing!! I just want to dive right in that beautiful crystal clear water. Great job on the timing for such a wonderful image! Thanks for sharing!

Location
This photo was captured at the southern end of Palm Beach NSW AustraliaTime
I was out the day before this photo was taken and the surf just turned on. So I decided to come back the following morning as I arrived the water had perfect clarity. It was just one of those days where the elements came together to help me produce this shot.Lighting
While out in the surf I usually process the different lighting and which wave direction is better to take photos of. As noticed on the bomb sets (big waves) that came through the wave would usually open up to the size of a small room and the sun would create this perfect glistning effect through the top of the wave so I turned around and started taking photos of the big right handers that would elapse over me.Equipment
I used a Gopro Hero 3+ Black edition to capture this photo.Inspiration
Just being out in the ocean, I really enjoy taking photos of waves and the curver and colour water can create. In all different conditions and enviroments.Editing
I always like looking out for the right conditions, I knew it was going to nbe a big south swell so I tried to find a southerly corner tucked away. Usually when its tucked away in a corner the waves are still big just alot cleaner and protected from the wind.In my camera bag
I usally have a Canon 60D with a 70-300mm lens for long distance shots, and a 18-50mm lens for landscape shots. I also have a Gopro hero 3+ Black edition which I used to capture this shot.Feedback
To try and capture shots like these just look for the right conditions, dont second guess yourself just get straight out there as you might even create a perfect capture through your lens. Check your lighting and clarity and set your camera to the settings which you think will work for the conditions.
