My dog follows me like a shadow. When it came time for me to cross a river, he was told to stay on this rock, where he would not be a hazard to me and himself. This gave me enough time and room to get to the other side (with all my camera gear) safely, as I jumped from rock to rock. When I turned around to call him across, he just gave me that miserable face, he wasn't happy at being left behind, even for one minute.
