This one I did in a hotel in the city of Rio Verde - GO - Brasil. They have this stairway and I asked the couple to do the posing under it, and went up to shoot.Time
It was nearly the 11 pm. It was a short session after the religious ceremony. The entire shooting took me about 1 hour.Lighting
I was really ancious to do this! Had imagined it a lot of times with many couples, but hadn't the time neither the place. When we went there, I knew exactly what I wanted. So I put one Canon EX 580 in the back, under the stair, and another EX 430 in the left-front of the couple, for a soft light. I loved it.Equipment
A Canon 5D mk II, a Canon 24-70mm 2.8 (at 70mm 2.8), 2 speedlights trigged by radio, and an assistent!Inspiration
First: love. I wanted to show how love can be big, so I thought to show it from above, higher like is to be in love. Second: location. Third: Couple.Editing
Yes, I did Lightroom for BW conversion and lighting correction, and Photoshop to clone a side of the stairway to complete the "infinite circle".In my camera bag
To do a wedding, normally I go with my 2 Canon 5D mk II, a 50mm 1.4, the 24-70mm 2.8, a spare 50mm 1.8, now 2 Canon 600EX-RT, a lot of cards, spare batteries, some neat stuff (plastic bags, rubbers, flashlight, and other usefull stuff). And love. Lots of it!Feedback
Have a really willing couple, a nice stairway and a good lighting setup. The posing need some adjustments to show all the hands, and more of the bride's face.
